Seeed With over 10 years’ experience in Civic project delivery, Ewan Carson saw the need within the industry for better services to allow the successful delivery of projects.

In realising this ‘seeed’ was created providing services to clients which capture all the necessary information to provide them with the tools needed to make a complete and informed decision and project delivery. An architect by trade and a trouble shooter by nature, Ewan has crafted the systems and tools which seeed uses to deliver projects for clients.

SERVICES | Delivering the best outcome for your project.

Even the simplest building projects have a variety of stakeholders, each with their own priorities and requirements.

Unfortunately, lots of stakeholders + lots of expectations = the potential for lots of things to go wrong.

seeed’s approach to projects addresses this situation by offering a practical and robust methodology which focuses on successful outcomes for you, and the successful management of your stakeholders.

This methodology comprises of four core components:
- Detailed feasibility planning
- Sound Architectural Services
- Social and environmental health agenda
- Strong project governance

Each component of our methodology plays an active role in delivering you the project you want. Combined, they provide a framework which is unique in its approach and proven in its outcomes.

FEASIBILITY PLANNING | Great design is built upon solid planning.

Great design is built upon solid planning.
New projects are exciting. As soon as you get the ‘tick of approval’ to proceed there’s a strong temptation to jump in and start delivering. But good project managers know that a project’s planning phase is the most important phase of all. Get it right, and the project runs smoothly. Get it wrong, and costly mistakes can occur.

The first component of our project methodology are detailed Feasibility Plans. Feasibility Plans give you the opportunity to ‘test’ your project before you’ve even started. It’s a detailed analysis of the intended project outcome, and is an effective way to see how your project’s asset (the building) is going to be delivered and work in operation. It also allows you to understand the impact your project will have on stakeholders, as well as identify timely programming and resource allocation.

The main objectives of Feasibility Plans are to:
1. Define the project’s objectives and measurables.
2. Determine if the project is feasible in the first place.
3. Discover and expose the risks associated with a project.

PROJECT ADVOCACY | We’ll be your project advocate.

Projects can be derailed by all manner of reasons including disgruntled stakeholders, bad communication with suppliers, scope creep, program overruns, and the list goes on….

That’s why strong project governance is the final component of our project methodology.

With seeed as your project advocate, we’ll help protect your project from these situations by utilising our firm but flexible framework of governance systems.

SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH | Good for the people, better for the environment, a great outcome for you.

seeed’s commitment to the improvement of the environment forms a crucial part of our project methodology.

With Green Star Professionals on board, we actively pursue project procurement which incorporates not only environmental designs, but outcomes which are passively healthy to occupants.

Even if you’re not planning to formally apply for Green Star certification for your project, you still benefit from our knowledge and expertise in the area and can be assured our recommendations and designs fall within the guidelines of the council.

ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES | Employing designs which are practical, and function both now and into the future.

The next component of our project delivery methodology is our architectural consultancy service. We take the time to carefully align your project with our architectural team to continue your project’s progression.

Using the Feasibility Plan, the architectural team will work with you to fulfil the scope of your project and deliver practical and realistic design solutions which translate the soul of the project brief into a designed outcome. We ensure the elements of your brief are carried through into the design, so you get the end result you want.

Our architects work closely with project stakeholders, including the builder, and make sure construction documentation and approvals are identified and obtained; providing a smooth transition to you.
